Positano, Italy is the most beautiful cliffside town on the Amalfi Coast. During my honeymoon, I stayed in Positano for three full days and four nights. In this quick post, I share the top four best views in Positano, Italy.

  1. View from the Water

My favorite view of Positano is from the water and lucky for us, it’s a super easy view to get! Below I share a few options to view Positano from the Mediterranean Sea.

Take the Ferry to Positano

When you arrive and depart Positano, there’s a good chance you’ll need to take a ferry. We took the ferry from Salerno to Positano when we first arrived and saw the most beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast. When we approached Positano, the scenery took my breath away. You can book ferries at the dock or book in advance at direct ferries

Take a Water Taxi

There are so many towns to explore on the Amalfi Coast. If you plan to venture to any of them, consider taking a water taxi. You can book them at the ticket offices on the dock in Positano.

Spend the Day on a Boat

Spending a day on the water during your time in the Amalfi Coast is a must. You can explore options on Airbnb Experiences or book at a number of other websites like Positano Boats

2. Franco’s Bar

Le Sirenuse is a fabulous hotel in Positano and it has incredible views of the town. Unfortunately, staying there was way out of our budget. Instead, we went to have a drink at Franco’s Bar. Franco’s is located to the left of the hotel entrance and has gorgeous views of Positano. Order a martini or limoncello spritz and indulge in unlimited popcorn.

3. Hike to the top of Positano

Positano has endless stairs that lead up to the most incredible views. You can hike up both the left and the right side of the town from the main beach. Spend some time walking up as far as you can go to get some of the views you see below.

4. Take the Italian Ape Dolce Vita Tour

Daniel and I booked this Italian Ape Dolce Vita Tour of the Amalfi Coast on Airbnb Experiences. We saw the most breathtaking views of not only Positano but all of the small towns on the Amalfi Coast.

We asked our driver to pull over so we could capture this view.
